The Domaine de Trécord
Harald Cropt - Winemaker in Ollon
Domaine de Trécord - is a small family-owned vineyard in Ollon, in the Chablais Vaudois. Harald & Daniela Cropt founded the Domaine in 2007 and since then have been crafting exquisite Vaudois wines. The vineyards of the Domaine de Trécord face south-southwest and are therefore well exposed to plenty of sunshine. Due to the proximity to the Rhone valley, they are favoured by good weather and the warm wind currents of the Föhn. The rainfall is ideal to grow high quality grapes that are not affected by dryness.
Harald Cropt is a passionate winemaker. After obtaining his federal certificate, he is the 5th generation to work his family's vineyards. Harald has been married to Daniela since 2008, the family is joined by Louise (2011), Lina (2014) and Edi (2018).

Our history
Since 1868
It all began with Edouard Bouchet, who was born in Vich (VD) in 1868. He lived in the La Côte region and visited his uncle, an elderly gentleman who lived in Ollon, during his holidays. He fell in love with the area and, after his uncle's death, decided to settle down and acquire the plots of land that bordered his property. With a great deal of patience, he managed to buy all the small vineyards, sometimes consisting of only two rows, around his property. As a result, the current estate is nearly unified.
Edouard Bouchet's daughter Lydie married François Cropt, who continued and expanded the estate, as did his son Georges and grandson Philippe. During this period, the harvest was delivered to the Ollon winegrowers' association, a century-old cooperative of which Edouard Bouchet was a founding member.
A new generation
When Harald, Philippe's son, joined the Domaine after attending wine school in Changins, only part of the harvest was vinified and sold on the farm. Harald and his wife Daniela now process the entire harvest in their estate cellar. Following his diploma and his federal master's degree, Harald currently cultivates 12 different grape varieties.
Swiss Wrestling
Harald is passionate about Swiss wrestling. He has competed 4 times at the Federal Festival. As son of a Swiss father and a Haitian mother, Harald Cropt is the first Swiss wrestler of mixed background to compete in a Swiss Federal Festival. At nearly 122 kg and 1.93 m in height, he was unable to find a sport that suited him at first. Until the president of the Aigle wrestling club suggested him to try Swiss wrestling. Harald was instantly captivated for the brotherly spirit and the respect between the wrestlers.
